Writing the time

- Writing the time out in a text has quite a variety of possibilities these days. First of all, AM and PM have a range of acceptable formats, such as: A.M., P.M., am, pm, a.m., and p.m. It is your choice whether you wish to separate the AM or PM from the time of day with a space or not. Furthermore, some choose to write just the hour (e.g. 9pm), while others include the semicolon and minutes (e.g. 9:00pm). Remember to stay consistent within a single text!
